embossed lettering. Sixteen photographs show Pope
Waverly Electric Surrey (Model 20), Road Wagon
(Model 21), Road Wagon with Top (Model 22), Delivery
Wagon (Model 23), Chelsea Runabout (Model 26),
Chelsea Coupe (Model 26C), Stanhope (Model 27),
Special Wagon (Model 28), Physician's Road Wagon
(Model 29) and Station Wagon (Model 30). Two additional
photographs show "Noiseless Herring-Bone driving
gear and manufacturing facility. Includes discussion,
specifications, information on independent gasoline
charging plant and prices (some prices changed
by rubber stamp by dealership). Comes with original
mailing envelope. Brochure says 1904 on cover,
but auto show sticker on envelope indicates that
it was mailed in 1905. Rusty staples; therefore,
price has been reduced. Price: $500.

brown lettering, has photograph of Col. Albert
A. Pope with information that a 22x27 photograph
will be furnished free upon request to anyone
who will frame and display it. Comes with: a)
letter on Pope Motor Car Company, Waverly Electric
Vehicles, Indianapolis, Indiana, letterhead, dated
Jan. 1905, to potential customer stating that
a catalog is being mailed under separate cover;
b) 4 page business card size folder announcing
that Pope-Waverly will be at the New York and
Chicago Auto Shows in 1905; and c) original mailing
envelope. Price: $45.
