12 page non-color catalog, 6x9. Blue stringbound cover, with black lettering, has drawing of American eagle, American flag and German flag and red and black poles with American and German emblems. Two photographs show side and frontal views of American Mercedes 40-45 H. P. Touring Car. Includes discussion, specifications and drawing of Daimler Manufacturing Company, Long Island City, New York. Comes with: a) separate 2 page (single-side printed) non-color sheet on "Racing Achievements Not the Basis of Mercedes' Success"; and b) original matching mailing envelope. Brochure and sheet have small rusty discoloration. Price: $350.

Letter on Daimler Manufacturing Co., Long Island City, New York, letterhead, dated Jan. 14, 1905, has photograph showing three-quarter frontal view of American Mercedes 40-45 H. P. Touring Car. Letter states that brochures on the car are not yet available, but that one will be sent as soon as they are received by the company. Comes with original mailing envelope. Price: $55.

Letter on Daimler Manufacturing Co., Long Island City, New York, letterhead, dated Feb. 1, 1905, has photograph showing three-quarter frontal view of American Mercedes 40-45 H. P. Touring Car. Letter states that a brochure on the car is being mailed under separate cover. It also notes that the brochure shows a rear entrance tonneau, but that all chassis for 1905 will be fitted with bodies having side entrances. Comes with original mailing envelope. Price: $55.

AMERICAN MERCEDES (45 H. P. Reproduction), "The American Mercedes":
34 page non-color catalog, with hb covers, 8x5. Heavy brown hardbound cover has gold embossed lettering and emblem. Roughcut pages throughout. Tippd-in frontispiece is art rendering of beautiful young woman with bonnet sitting in American Mercedes 45 H. P. Touring Car. Eight tipped-in photo renderings and drawings show side view of car and mechanical parts. Includes discussion and price. Daimler Manufacturing Company, Long Island City, New York. Original maroon placemark ribbon is still attached. Cover has small (1/8 x 3/8) section missing. NOTE: Car was an exact replica of the European Mercedes 45 H. P. Brochure is extremely rare. When Mercedes reprinted it in 1961 the only copy they could find was in the Philadelphia Free Library Collection. Price: $2700.
