The old car hobby often does not lead
us in the direction we expect to go. Most of us have
something specific in mind, but wander in many directions
before we get there — just to be sure there wasn't
something better that we did not know about. In my 50
plus years in the hobby I have explored antiques, classics,
hot rods, customs, the brass era, cars that fly and
others that float, sports cars, motorcycles, dune buggies,
kit cars, limousines and all sorts of racing. Most recently
trucks and buses have caught my attention.
A local car and truck literature collector died not
long ago and his daughter presented us with a thousand
or so brochures. The following are just some of the
most interesting truck and bus brochures. You might
want to take a break from your current interest to browse
through what I find to be some fascinating literature.
