I once asked someone why he collected taxi literature. It was something I had never considered. "Were you born in a taxi on the way to the hospital?", I asked jokingly. Was he a cab driver? It was neither. But, by the time he finished explaining taxi cab literature to me, I not only understood his passion for taxis, but I found it interesting. I did not go out and buy a Checker Cab but I can see why he did.
