Passionate about your literature? Are
you a car person with serious thoughts about this hobby?
Then you already have a story to tell but maybe you
have not gotten around to writing it. It is not like
your school days when you were assigned a subject to
write a report on. Here you will not be graded on spelling,
punctuation and grammar. Instead, we will make you look
like a skilled writer. If you have the passion to tell
your friends about automotive literature, then you have
already developed the subject to the point that the
words will flow.
The "Automotive Chronicles" is a place for
those words to create an interesting story that will
be read around the world. Other collectors want to learn
why you collect certain literature, how you got started,
what all you have, where you got it, your approach to
the hobby, etc.
I once asked someone why he collected taxi literature.
It was something I had never considered. "Were
you born in a taxi on the way to the hospital?",
I asked jokingly. Was he a cab driver? It was neither.
But, by the time he finished explaining taxi cab literature
to me, I not only understood his passion for taxis,
but I found it interesting. I did not go out and buy
a Checker Cab but I can see why he did.
So whether you collect flathead Ford literature, concept
car brochures, or are a restorer who hunts down dealer
albums to use in creating authentic restorations
or anything in between to something very strange,
you have an audience here at the "Automotive Chronicles"
that wants to hear about it. Don't be shy. We do most
of the work.
