Rolls and Royce built their first car in 1904 and soon it gained a reputation for being, and was proclaimed, "The Best Car in the World". When Rolls-Royce bought Bentley Motors in 1931 it did so to prevent its number one competitor from falling into the hands of Napier. Together they have reigned as the best car in luxury, engineering and quality that can be purchased.

Press kits inform journalists of every detail of information on design, engineering, specifications, interior and exterior appointments, performance, etc. They include much more information than a brochure can provide, plus photographs to illustrate interior, exterior and mechanical information.

Much rarer than brochures, press kits are highly sought after by collectors. The following are a few examples of what a press kit may contain.
