You probably don't usually think of
Jeep vehicles as art forms, but rather as rugged all-terrain
vehicles that are made to be covered with mud and have
battle scars from driving up rocky mountain slopes,
along wandering creek beds and through ancient forests.
But the sale of Jeeps, beginning with the 1945 Willys
Model CJ-2A, incorporated beautiful art renderings into
the literature that the company produced. And, while
most automotive companies turned to photography, Jeep
continued to use art renderings through the 1960s.
