Historic Automotive Literature

By AUTOWEEK

A scrapbook of historical automotive literature is a great way to add to the value and significance of a collectible vehicle. Vintage literature not only serves as a reference for restoration but also as a means of understanding the era in which the vehicle was produced.

McLellan's Automotive History in Houston has been helping enthusiasts find historical automotive literature for more than 44 years. MAH's inventory of more than 100,000 rare books, manuals, dealer brochures and other sorts of literature is one of the finest examples anywhere and covers many vehicles from the last century. Its library of automotive artifacts is continually being expanded with literature purchased from collectors and historians all over the world.

As vintage cars continue to become more valuable, the urge to own more of that vehicle's history is greater, too. So if a pristine 1965 Mustang performance parts catalog will complete the pony car shrine in your garage, or if you're wondering where you can find a factory brochure for a 1925 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost, MAH can probably help. The inventory can be viewed online at mclellansautomotive.com.
