34 page non-color catalog, with hb covers, 8x5.
Heavy brown hardbound cover has gold embossed
lettering and emblem. Rough-cut pages throughout.
Tipped-in photographs plus a color frontispiece
art rendering of beautiful young woman with bonnet
sitting in American Mercedes 45 H. P. Touring
Car. Eight tipped-in photo renderings and drawings
show side view of car and mechanical parts. Includes
discussion and price. Daimler Manufacturing Company,
Long Island City, New York. Original maroon placemark
ribbon is still attached. Cover has small (1/8
x 3/8) section missing. The manufacture specifically
notes that American Mercedes are identical to
those built in Germany. This is a very rare catalog
and a search by Mercedes-Benz found they did not
have one. The only other one know to exist is
in the Philadelphia Free Library Collection. Price:-
