Most of McLellan's literature is bought from hobbyists who are selling their collections, which is literature that they personally acquired from manufacturers, dealerships and bookstores when new. We examine every item carefully, choosing only literature that is in first class condition.

We certainly don't throw away a very old and desirable item just because of minor aging or wear. Any flaws are noted to the best of our ability and the price is reduced accordingly.

McLellan's Automotive History does NOT buy or sell their mail order literature at swap meets or on eBay. Collectors see literature at swap meets and at eBay, which have deteriorated, from dust, moisture and dirty, sweaty hands. Most mail order literature dealers are also swapmeet and eBay vendors and buyers. That may be acceptable to some collectors, but it has never been good enough for us. Is it good enough for you?
